Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.

The ISP juggernaut rolls on!

It's been a couple of months since we met on this platform. The activities of the society are on track and as per the schedule.

As planned the Professional Enrichment Programs were held in Cuttack, Chennai, and Mangalore. The other once is on the anvil.

The society this year too conducted the much awaited program for the exam going postgraduate students, the rapid revision program at Udaipur and Navi Mumbai in the month of January. The novel program was introduced last year and was highly appreciated. This year it was held at two places for the benefit of the students. There were more than 130 PG students who attended and benefitted from it at both the places. What was more satisfying to see was the involvement of the students and their hunger for knowledge, which made them sit and participate in the lectures even late in the evening. Hats off to the students, mentors, and the organizers!

The next awaited big program of the year is the 14 th ISP PG convention which is going to be held at Navi Mumbai to be hosted by the ISP Maharashtra study group and D. Y. Patil Dental College as the venue. The PGs will have an opportunity to show-case their work and also listen to the faculty members in the various guest lectures being held. I take this opportunity to emphasize that the presentations will be made strictly by the associate members and those who have not enrolled as a member, kindly do so before sending in the abstracts.

Another first this time is the 'Cricket match' under lights to be played at the international cricket stadium at the convention venue. I invite one and all to come and see the sportsmen amongst us.

After many years ISP has planned once again to cross the international boundary - 'ISP ABROAD' a scientific-pleasure trip is being organized for the members of the society. The members, in the 3 rd week of March are visiting Nepal and will be attending the 1 st Annual conference of the Nepalese Society of Periodontology and Oral Implantology. Members are welcome even now to register. Details are available on our website.

With so much of activity going on, there is no doubt that we are one of the best specialty organization in the country. Come, let's get together and strengthen ourselves.

Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.

-Vince Lombardi
